EVENT
End of the Land is an ensemble performance created by Next Stage, Hall for Cornwall’s theatre group for adults over 60.
Developed in response to a museum visit, End of the Land explores mining, the sea and local stories through voice, image and movement. It was devised in rehearsal and shaped by shared ideas and responses from the group. It will be performed in the Heart of Cornwall Gallery.
Next Stage is a group open to anyone with an interest in theatre, whether they’re looking to rekindle past theatrical dreams or simply meet likeminded people and have fun.
The 10-15 minute performance is free, the museum will be open as usual, and no booking is required. General museum admission does apply, with Adult Annual Passes £10 for a year of unlimited visits. Visiting and accessibility info can be found here.
Tori Cannell, session lead:
“Next Stage brings people together to be creative, play and see where it leads, recognising and celebrating the fact that creativity has no age limit. I’m excited to see this brilliant group in action at the museum, which is a fabulous space for framing performances like this.”
